BIO

The sensation of flying, sentiment of music and expedition of the heart. The M.O. of FLIGHTMODE is to transport you, the listener, from wherever you may be to a vast new musical horizon, where the possibilities are only limited by the imagination. In this place, you experience sounds of the past, glimpses into the future and may even feel emotions that resonate deep inside you. After all, that's what good music does - it speaks profoundly to our soul. This is the passion project of independent Australian solo artist Jez Wander, who invites you to share in his musical journey into the unknown...
Jez Wander is the musician, writer, composer & producer behind FLIGHTMODE. Starting Piano from an early age, his real love for music flourished upon picking up the guitar and this talent soon extended to Drums, Bass, Vocals & Songwriting - all of which can be heard on his records. Jez was raised on all the Rock n' Roll classics but after playing in many bands and coming into his own, his scope of influence broadened to everything from Classical, Pop, Alternative, Punk, Funk, Jazz, Hip Hop, R&B, Indie, Downtempo, Electronica, Reggae, Cinema Score and anything in between that makes him feel alive. His vision is to bend and break the borders of these styles to create a fusion that feels simultaneously nostalgic and fresh; at the end of the day it's all just good music. Jez shares this ethos with artists whom he aspires to such as Queen, Led Zepplin, The Gorillaz, Pink Floyd, Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Queens of the Stone Age, Linkin Park, Radiohead, Jeff Buckley and many more. A deeply emotional person, Jez Wander's passion for music comes from his heartfelt purpose to create, perform and put soul into everything he does.
